The closed beta of VLC is progressing apace, with the latest update to be sent out to the 10,000 beta testers being the one to bring support for Background Audio, for those inclined to use the app to listen to music.
The news is via VideoLan developer Thomas Nigro, and will hopefully see the update being pushed out later today.
The app has already had a number of updates which has seen improvements to the user interface of the apps and bug fixes.
