Neowin: VIP developers already have Nokia Windows Phone 8 handsets

In the run up to the announcement and release of a new range of Windows Phone 8 handsets we are all waiting for the inevitable leak from the handsets floating in the wild for testing.

Now Neowin has learned that it is not only testers, but also star developers" or "VIP’s" who proved themselves during the Windows Phone 7 lifecycle who have their hands on Microsoft and Nokia’s latest goodies.

Apparently they have been given heavily guarded Windows Phone 8 handsets in return for the promise that they would have an application ready for launch.

Apparently the handsets, which are early Nokia prototypes similar to the current Lumia range, are under strictly monitoring conditions, so the possibility of a leak is meant to be slim.

Of course with 100% of the iPhone 5 leaking out weeks before the September announcement I suspect we will not have to wait long for another set of new Windows Phone 8 handset pictures.
