MVR Global gives an early look at (unofficial) Xbox One VR

Microsoft has been sadly quiet about their plans for Mixed Reality on the Xbox One X, but a company called MVR Global is working on their own method in the meantime. Their headset, the Ascend, is planned to function with a variety of game consoles – including the Xbox One. You can check out a demo of early hardware working with the Xbox One version of Titanfall below.

While the device shown in the footage is purely a prototype, it does give a look at the current performance of game streaming to the system, which will be completely wireless. MVR Global is currently crowdfunding the device through Crowdcube, and it should be an interesting alternative to Microsoft’s own VR solutions on the Xbox One if it ever gets completed.
