Windows Phones are relatively popular in South Africa, with 7% of university students using them for example.

That makes local music apps essential, and today we have the rather good news that South African music service Simfy Africa has debuted their Windows Phone app.

The app was developed with the help of Microsoft, which usually means no further updates, but Simfy promises to add features and roll out new enhancements on a regular basis.

The service features access to 27 million tracks, featuring all the top International artists as well as the biggest range of South African and Africa music. image

Besides on demand music the app also features ready-made playlists for any mood or occasion as well as support for off-line listening.

Users can also share their music with friends on facebook and twitter.

Users who sign up now can take advantage of a free 2 week trial.

Download the app here and read more about the service at www.simfy.co.za.
