On May 21, 2025, Mumbai-based underDOGS Studio unveiled the first gameplay trailer for Mukti, a first-person narrative adventure developed under Sony’s India Hero Project. Set in mid-2000s India, the game follows Arya as she investigates her grandfather’s mysterious disappearance, uncovering disturbing truths about human trafficking.

Mukti immerses players in a decaying museum filled with clues, puzzles, and emotional storytelling. The game tackles serious social issues through grounded environments and personal stakes. It draws inspiration from titles like Gone Home, offering a slow-burn mystery with psychological depth.

Optimized for PlayStation 5, Mukti leverages 4K visuals and DualSense features, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, to enhance immersion during exploration and puzzle-solving. The PC version supports full controller compatibility and Steam features like achievements and family sharing.

As part of the India Hero Project, Mukti aims to spotlight Indian narratives in global gaming. The underDOGS Studio encourages players to wishlist the game on the PlayStation Store and Steam to support indie developers.
