Mozilla is going through quite a bit of turmoil at the minute due to funding concerns, but the company is still working very hard at delivering user-centric features.

The company is currently testing a new feature in Firefox 84 – the ability to open more than one Picture in Picture video. Currently, Chromium-based browsers only support one PiP window, showing the benefit of having your own browser engine.

To try this out, go to About:Config, search for “media.videocontrols.picture-in-picture.allow-multiple” and change the toggle to “true”.
