Rumours of a recall is brewing for the HTC 7 Trophy, the troubled handset with the slow memory, variable screen and now bubbles under the screen.
Reports are now rolling in on XDA-Developers of multiple HTC 7 Trophys affected with this issue, which presents itself as discoloured areas under the screen. The video above by Levi Freeman illustrates the issue very well.
XDA-Developers member Enak reports:
I’ve been back to the Vodafone store today as they had received new stock. Both handsets we looked at had the same issue.
The manager at the store said that HTC were going to be issuing a recall and that they were aware of the problem.
Sounds like HTC’s Windows Phone 7 handsets are particularly cursed, possibly due to poor quality control with HTC having its eye more on the Android than Windows Phone 7 ball.
