Misfit releases two new Universal Windows Apps for Windows 10

Misfit released its new Windows 10 app just yesterday for PC and Mobile devices. Alongside the new UWP app, the company released two other UWP apps for Windows 10: Misfit Link and Misfit Home.

The company’s Link app allows users to control music, presentations, take selfies with their phone cameras with the Misfit Shine 2, Flash or Flash Link devices. The app also comes with Cortana integration, allowing users to control their Misfit devices with voice commands.

Misfit Link is a new software experience that makes your wearable an even more powerful tool to control and connect with the world around you. The Misfit Link app lets you use any Misfit Shine 2, Flash or Flash Link to take a selfie with your phone camera app; control your music; advance slides in a presentation and much more. Use Cortana to switch between different modes using just your voice.

The Misfit Home app is also quite similar to the Link app. With the Misfit Link app, users will be able to control the Misfit Bolt (which is a smart LED bulb). You will be able to adjust the brightness of the bulb, change the color, and control lots of other features of the app:

  • Transform your room using dynamic lightscapes, from a warm glow to an ever-changing rainbow.
  • Design custom lightscapes from your favorite photos.
  • Select from millions of colors.
  • Adjust the brightness to just the right level to fit your mood.
  • Create and manage multiple rooms.
  • Wake up to a simulated sunrise.

Both of the new Misfit apps are fantastic. However, keep in mind that the user experience on PC for these apps aren’t really great and they are mainly made for Mobile devices. If you happen to own a Misfit Bolt or any of the fitness trackers from the company, you can try out the apps from the links below.
