Microsoft has released an update for Minecraft for Windows 10, Windows 10 Mobile and the Xbox One.

The update, to version 1.8, brings the following improvements:

  • Cats and pandas – This update introduces some highly anticipated features, like the new design of cats and pandas!
  • Bamboo – Bamboo is a new block that is found in the jungle temple coffers and fishing in the jungle. You can create the scaffolding, an object that all survival builders must have.
  • Crossbow – If you activate the Experimental Game in the World Settings, you can play with the crossbow and its new spells.
  • The realms now offer an Xbox member membership so it will be easier to keep your realms active without letting them expire.
  • Show us your new adventures with cats and pandas on Instagram by publishing the images with the hashtag #Minecraft.
  • Speaking of realms, we fixed the bug where the Blazes killed you with one shot!
