Minecraft just got a rather substantial update on Xbox One and Xbox 360. Not only does the latest update add new achievements, but it also enhances the interface to use less memory. This should make the game feel even smoother during demanding situations. However, what is the most important part of this update? Well, the animals are definitely up there. Not only did the studio add llamas, but parrots are also going to be flying around. If only they could talk! A full list of changes follows:

  • 7 new achievements
  • New interface engine which saves significant memory and boosts performance
  • Llamas
  • Parrots
  • Woodland Mansion
  • Treasure Maps
  • Observer Block
  • Totem of Undying
  • Illagers, Vindicator, Vex and Evoker
  • Bouncy beds
  • Dyeable beds
  • Option to change Biomes size to match other platforms

While this may not look like a major update, it adds a lot of amazing features gamers have been asking for. For example, the fact that you now have the option to change Biome sizes is incredible. We’ve been testing the update for the past hour and it’s a lot of fun. Apart from that, there is a new glide trade pack which features some acrobatic challenges and skins. If you haven’t played Minecraft in a while, now’s the time to jump back in!
