Microsoft's Windows 1.0 tease was a Stranger Things promo after all

Earlier this week, the internet was filled with curiosity after Microsoft’s Windows account tweeted a cryptic Windows 1.0 announcement. Windows 1.0 was many, many, years old and it was far too late for an April Fool’s joke. Microsoft had to be teasing something, and speculation ranged from the outlandish Andromeda to a more mundane Stranger Things promotion.

Microsoft has let the cat out of the bag. Its tweet does appear to indeed be a Stranger Things promo. Mystery solved.

Stranger Things Season 3 is currently streaming on Netflix. The service can be accessed either via your browser, or the Windows 10 Netflix app.
