Back in 2015, Microsoft announced a joint venture with China Electronics Technology Group in China called C&M Information Technologies that will license, deploy, manage and optimize Windows 10 for China’s government agencies and certain state owned enterprises and provide ongoing support and services for these customers.

Speaking to China Daily, Alain Crozier, CEO of Microsoft Greater China has confirmed today that they have developed the first version of Windows 10 optimised for government agencies in China and it has been tested by three large enterprise customers. Microsoft is now ready to serve the Chinese market with this new secured version of Windows 10. C&M collected feedback from Chinese government customers on their specific use requirements to make it secure and controllable.

C&M Information Technologies is now acting as the exclusive licensor for government and critical infrastructure state owned enterprise customers of a government-approved Windows 10 image, including Chinese capabilities such as government selected antivirus software.
