Microsoft releases new Office Insider Build, comes with new features and a lot of fixes

Microsoft has released a new Office Build for Office Insiders on Windows. The new Build 11916.20000 has introduced new features and coauthoring improvement to Microsoft Word. The new Office Insider Build brings a lot of bug fixes and performance improvements too. You can read the official changelog below.

Create more accessible PDFs

Create a PDF and the accessibility checker will point out accessibility issues to fix before you save.

  • We fixed an issue where file type association and icons for Office could sometimes break after an Office Update

  • Various performance and stability fixes

  • We fixed an issue where moving a chart could sometimes result in a crash
  • We fixed an issue where to get Workbook object from Chart object after changing chart types could sometimes result in an error

PowerPoint

Outlook

  • We fixed an issue where in simplified ribbon, a disabled control could sometimes not be greyed out in the ribbon

To update to the latest Office Insider Preview Build, open any Office program and go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
