Microsoft has updated their Motion Data app, which reads data from the Sensorcore processor cores in some Windows Phones, with significant improvements to the user interface of the app, exposing much more of the data that the app collects.

The app will now display your activity data over the previous 24 hours, and also the routes and places you frequent. It will also show you which apps have access to your motion data e.g the fitbit or Microsoft health and fitness app.

The changelog mentions the following improvements:image

  • User interface redesign
  • See your activity graphically
  • See your places and routes graphically
  • Collect more detailed and accurate data
  • List installed apps that can make use of motion data

The update can be found in the Windows Phone Store here.
