Skypr TX 4

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) yesterday announced the recipients of the 69th Annual Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards. Microsoft Skype won an Emmy Award for “Development of Integrated Consumer Video Conferencing Service into Broadcast Production Environments and Workflows.”

Skype TX is a studio grade system that enables broadcasters to seamlessly integrate regular Skype video calls into a studio workflow. It enables high-quality, real-time interactions with remote guests. Broadcasters in almost 100 countries have implemented Skype TX into their workflows. Last year, Microsoft released the new Skype TX 4 which is more flexible and scalable than its predecessor. It gives broadcasters and media partners the ability to integrate multiple studio-grade Skype video calls into the broadcasting workflow.
