Microsoft Skype for Business

Microsoft recently announced that it will completely shut down Office Live Meeting service by December 31, 2017. So, organizations using Live Meeting should migrate to Skype for Business and Skype Meeting Broadcast as quickly as possible. Skype for Business solution offers the following advantage over Live Meeting service.

  • Increased scale, with up to 10,000 attendees in a Skype Meeting Broadcast
  • Support for participating in meetings from iOS, Android, and other mobile devices
  • Better quality, with HD video and video based screen sharing

Microsoft has also released a new tool called Recording Exporter Tool that will help organizations manage their Live Meeting recordings. Using this tool, one can download any or all of the existing meeting recordings saved in the Live Meeting service. The tool can be downloaded here.
