Brad Smith, at Microsoft today testified before the U.S. House Judiciary Committee Hearing on “International Conflicts of Law and their Implications for Cross Border Data Requests by Law Enforcement.” Brad Smith told congressional committee that Microsoft “wholeheartedly supports Apple” in its case against FBI related to iPhone encryption. He also revealed that Microsoft will be filing amicus brief for Apple next week. He highlighted that All Writs Act was last updated in 1911 and it needs an update.
