During the Gamescom livestream, Microsoft today announced new features for Xbox One users that will make the process of switching to the new Xbox One X console easier than ever before. Read about these new features below.

Instead of downloading your Xbox settings from the internet when you setup your Xbox One X, Microsoft will allow you to copy the settings from your old console to a external drive and then use it to import it into your new Xbox One X console.

Another cool new feature is that you can download 4K content for your already installed gamers ahead of time on your external drive. Once you get your Xbox One X console, you can just plug in your external drive and start enjoying your games.

Microsoft will also allow network transfer which will allow Xbox consoles on your network to copy games and apps from a particular console.
