Press Release:

SkyGiraffe, an innovative new venture that provides a platform to securely extend on-premise enterprise systems directly to mobile devices, today announced that it has received a strategic investment from Microsoft Ventures. This marks the first fund announcement from Microsoft Ventures, and will enable SkyGiraffe to further its mission of empowering organizations to efficiently provide enterprise-grade mobile apps to their workforce.

“We provide the tools that make it exceptionally easy for businesses to perform at their best, anywhere and at any time,” said Boaz Hecht, Co-Founder & CEO of SkyGiraffe. “We are thrilled to work closely with the team at Microsoft Ventures to bring our services to customers around the world.”

“SkyGiraffe has an extremely productive impact on how enterprises operate in the mobile world, while improving employee efficiency and lowering overall IT costs,” said Rahul Sood, General Manager of Microsoft Ventures. “They are a great example of talented founders that have utilized Microsoft’s programs for startups to increase their opportunity to succeed in the market.”

Given the increased usage of smartphones and tablets in the workforce, implementing operational mobile apps have become a strategic priority for enterprise companies. SkyGiraffe has created a platform to provide secure access to live data, such as sales, finance, inventory, and operational information through a customizable, secure mobile platform that can be implemented across an organization, immediately increasing workforce productivity.

The customized job-specific mobile apps are built directly from one or many enterprise systems, and have the capability to both read and write-back live data to the company’s systems.  The native apps are built for both iOS and Android devices so implementation and compatibility issues are non-existent.

SkyGiraffe started their relationship with Microsoft through the BizSpark program and later were accepted into the Microsoft Ventures Accelerator in Israel.

Enterprise companies can now request an invite and try the platform for free at http://www.skygiraffe.com.
