Microsoft unveils Dynamics 365 Guides, a new mixed reality app that can help employees learn new tasks

Along with the announcement about Azure Kinect and HoloLens 2, Microsoft today announced a new mixed reality app called Dynamics 365 Guides, which joins the existing Dynamics 365 Remote Assist and Dynamics 365 Layout. Dynamics 365 Guides app can help employees learn new tasks. It improves learning of employees with step-by-step instructions that guide them to the tools and parts they need and how to use them in real work situations. For example, instead of reading a hundred page guide, employees can learn new tasks, like working on a fuel injection system, with step-by-step holographic instructions.
Microsoft will also be releasing Guides PC app that will make it easy to create interactive content, attach photos and videos, import 3D models and customize training to turn institutional knowledge into a repeatable learning tool.
Dynamics 365 Guides will work on both the previous generation of HoloLens and the new HoloLens 2. And it is available in preview starting today.
