Microsoft today announced that the company has integrated Translator into Cortana in Windows 10. With the latest addition to Cortana, you can easily translate something. For example:

  • “Hey Cortana, translate where is the nearest taxi stand in French?”
  • “Hey Cortana, how to say where is the closest grocery store in Spanish?”

Here is a list of all of the translation languages currently supported by Cortana:

Bulgarian
Catalan
Chinese (Simplified)
Czech
Danish
Dutch
English
Estonian
Farsi
Finnish
French
German
Greek
Hebrew
Hindi
Hungarian
Indonesian
Italian
Japanese
Klingon (pIqaD)
Korean
Latvian
Malay
Maltese
Polish
Portuguese
Romanian
Russian
Slovak
Slovenian
Spanish
Swedish
Thai
Turkish
Ukrainian
Urdu
Vietnamese
Welsh

Cortana was able to translate a phrase to French for me – however, sometimes, it may misunderstand you and if it can’t translate something, it’ll open up Bing and do a web search. Nonetheless, this is indeed a pretty nice addition to Cortana. However, keep in mind that it’s only available to Windows 10 users in the US for now.
