Microsoft to bring HoloLens AR apps to iOS and Android

Microsoft today announced that it will bring its enterprise-focused Dynamics 365 AR apps to iOS and Android devices in the coming month. These AR apps are already available on Microsoft HoloLens, by bringing it to mobile platforms, Microsoft is expanding the availability of these apps and related services to more customers.

Not all customers can afford to buy a HoloLens device, these mobile AR apps will help such customers to transform their workflow without investing a huge amount in AR hardware. Read about the first two AR apps that will be available on iOS and Android platforms below.

Dynamics 365 Product Visualize (for iOS):

As the name suggests, Product Visualize is an AR visualization app that will help sellers to showcase and customize products in their actual environment.

Dynamics 365 for Sales users can show products to customers directly within their workflow. Both spatial and configuration notes are all saved directly within the associated sales opportunity.

Dynamics 365 Remote Assist (for Android):

This app will enable employees to work together from anywhere. Technicians can use either Microsoft HoloLens or an Android mobile device to collaborate with remote experts and troubleshoot issues in context. It will come with features including mobile annotations, group calling, deeper integration with Dynamics 365 for Field Service and more.
