Microsoft to address Microsoft Launcher battery issues in next update

If you are a user of Microsoft Launcher you may have received a pop-up warning from your phone warning you that Microsoft Launcher was draining your battery rapidly and should be closed.

If so you would not be alone, with a number of users affected by the issue.

Now the head of the program, Vishnu Nath, has acknowledged the issue, saying a fix is on the way.

The issue appears to be related to high CPU usage, which could, of course, be related to the new TimeLine and Microsoft News integration.

In some ways, the issue has become inevitable, as the Android app launcher adds more and more roles, including for example tracking your location for device management purposes and more.
