In a move to streamline important communication, Microsoft Teams has announced a new feature: the Private Line. This feature allows users to maintain a second, private phone number, which they can share with a select group of callers.

The Private Line is designed to facilitate direct communication, bypassing delegates, administrators, or assistants. This ensures that important calls are not missed or delayed due to intermediaries.

One of the key features of the Microsoft Teams Private Line is its unique notification system. Inbound calls to the private line will trigger a distinct notification and ringtone, allowing users to immediately recognize calls coming through this line.

However, it’s important to note that the Microsoft Teams Private Line is designed for incoming calls only.

The introduction of the Private Line feature underscores Microsoft Teams’ commitment to providing flexible and secure communication solutions for its users.
