General Dynamics Itronix, who manufactures rugged computers, laptops and handhelds, etc. have signed a patent agreement with Microsoft that provides broad coverage under Microsoft’s patent portfolio for General Dynamics Itronix devices running the Android platform. Microsoft have previously signed similar deals with OEM’s such as HTC. There is still no word on licensing fees yet, But I predict it would be around $5-10 per device as HTC rumoured to be paying Microsoft.
