While a light theme has already been mentioned for Xbox One, Microsoft just showed off the first glance of it on their Gamescom stream. You can take a look at it above – if you’ve used any other Windows 10 device in light mode you’ll know what to expect.

This will be reaching Xbox Insider builds very soon, although no specific date was given. The Xbox One was the only Windows 10 device without a light theme until now, so it’s nice to see this finally arrive. Some UWP apps already had built in light theme support that carried over from their desktop versions & the user interface looks fairly nice in it was well.

Those who miss the look of the Xbox 360 user interface – like myself – will definitely be happy.
