Microsoft shows of Windows 8/Online service integration

In the above video we see the integration of the old “Live” services in Windows 8, and what does come across pretty strongly is that these services should of course have been integrated long time ago, rather than wait till 2012.

The reason was of course likely the antitrust action against Microsoft and Windows, which prevented Microsoft from integrating and extending Windows until very recently, and reminds us that Windows 8 is the first time in a long time Microsoft has actually been able to fight on the desktop without having their one arm tied behind their back.
