Microsoft is coming hot during the annual Surface event this year. Besides announcing the release date of its Copilot AI assistant, Redmond officials also said that they’re developing a shopping assistant called Shopping Copilot.

The tool is said to be integrated into Bing and Edge, and will help users find the best deals on products, compare prices, and read reviews.

“People prefer to get answers versus a page of links for many of these question,” Microsoft’s Divya Kumar, general manager of search and AI, said during the feature’s presentation.

One of the most stand-out features of Shopping Copilot is its ability to summarize reviews. This will save users a lot of time, as they will no longer have to read through all of the reviews individually.

The best part is that Shopping Copilot is not only a price comparison tool, but also a visual search engine. It can help you find the lowest price on a product by comparing prices from different retailers, and you can also use photos to find similar products.

“You can trust you’re getting the best price – in fact, in the last 12 months, shoppers have been offered more than $4 billion in savings on Microsoft Edge,” Microsoft adds in the official announcement.

Microsoft Copilot in Windows is rolling out on September 26, alongside a big chunk of the 23H2 update for Windows 11.
