Microsoft shoots down 9/15 Mango rumours, tells everyone to wait till fall

Joe Belfiore, VP of Windows Phone, clearly had enough of all the rumours surrounding a Windows phone 7.5 Mango update today, and has decided to throw some cold water on the anticipation.

Noting that Microsoft has always insisted the update was coming in “Fall” and that fall only officially starts on the 23 September, the message is clearly for everyone to cool their heels and wait patiently a little longer.

Interestingly this leaves Taiwanese WP7 users as the only ones who are getting official updates right now but I suspect anyone desperate for Mango has probably already hacked it onto their phone a long time ago.
