Last week, Microsoft expanded its Microsoft Rewards loyalty program to the UK. Microsoft Rewards gives people points for searching with Bing, as well as shopping at Microsoft Online store, taking daily quizzes, entering competitions and others. They can use the earned points towards a range of items on the Microsoft Store, including music, films, games, apps and devices. They can also convert their points into charity donations. For exmaple, a month-long Xbox Live Gold Membership costs 6,000 points, while a £5 Xbox digital gift card costs 5,300 points. A Windows Store gift card costs 5,850 points.

Today, they have launched this program in France. The program is now open to select members and it will be available for everyone in the coming weeks. Microsoft is also planning to bring this rewards program to Germany and Canada soon.
