Microsoft is killing off its Sway for iOS app this year, opting to direct users to the web-based Sway app instead. From October 19, Apple users won’t be able to download the app from the store and in December, it will no longer function.

“With this change, we’re consolidating our Sway experience. Sway online provides the same, most up-to-date feature set across platforms and devices,” Microsoft’s Sabrina Mohamed told users on Tuesday. “You can use the iOS app until December 17, 2018. After that date, when you open the app you will be greeted with a message directing you to Sway online.”

Ony the Sway app for iOS is being retired. Microsoft’s Windows 10 based app is a web-app, so it’ll remain active as long as the firm continues to host Sway.Office.Com.

User’s Sways can continue to be accessed on the website as per usual.
