It is not news that the release of the Spring Creators Update for Windows 10 has been delayed, and in a blog post today Microsoft’s Dona Sarkar detailed the issue.

She confirmed what was to be the RTM build had reliability issues, and “in certain cases, these reliability issues could have led to a higher percentage of (BSOD) on PCs for example.

Microsoft has now pushed out a new build for Windows 10 RS4 which includes fixes from KB4100375 as well as some fixes for general reliability of the OS.

Insiders in the Fast Ring can now download the build to test, and in a line probably aimed at critics of the Insider Program’s ability to find important bugs, she emphasises the importance of Insiders, saying they were “critical to helping us find and fix issues before releasing feature updates to all our customers.

Insiders can download the new build by Checking for Updates in Settings.
