Microsoft Q2 FY19 Earnings: Productivity leads the way with 13% YoY revenue growth

Microsoft Office 365

Microsoft today announced FY19 Q2 earnings results with a revenue of $32.5 billion and operating income of $10.3 billion.

Microsoft reports Office Commercial products and cloud services revenue grew 11% driven by Office 365 Commercial revenue growth of 34% (up 33% CC).

On the consumer side, Office Consumer products and cloud services revenue grew 1% (up 2% CC) with growth in Office 365 Consumer subscribers to 33.3 million.

Microsoft also mentioned that LinkedIn revenue grew 29% (up 30% CC) with record levels of engagement highlighted by Linkedin sessions growth of 30%. Dynamics products and cloud services revenue grew 17% driven by Dynamics 365 revenue growth of 51% (up50% CC).

Overall revenue rose 13% driven by Office 365 and LinkedIn.
