With the release of Build 17713, Microsoft reset the Skip Ahead Ring and moved all the Windows Insiders from Skip Ahead to Fast Ring. This was a calculated move as the company moved forward with finalizing the RS5 update. However, Microsoft said that they would open Skip Ahead again once they’re ready with the new Branch.
Skip Ahead is now open! #WindowsInsiders can now choose to “skip ahead” to the next feature update of Windows 10. Please note: Only a limited number of Insiders will be allowed to skip ahead and once that limit has been reached, Skip Ahead will be closed. pic.twitter.com/Uw1xvPntDf

The company announced today on Twitter that Skip Ahead is now open for Windows Insiders. The Skip Ahead Ring will get early Builds of the next feature update. Microsoft hasn’t shared the details yet but we assume it will be Redstone 6 update. For now, Microsoft has limited spots for Skip Ahead Ring so if you’re interested then head to Settings>Update & Security>Windows Insider Program and Select “Skip Ahead to the next Windows release”. Do note that even if you were on Skip Ahead earlier, you will need to go back to Settings and register again.
Microsoft will release early builds to the Skip Ahead Ring which won’t be stable so it’s not recommended to set your primary device to Skip Ahead Ring. Moving forward, Fast Ring Insiders will receive builds from RS5_RELEASE branch and Skip Ahead users will get builds from RS_PRERELEASE branch.
