At Microsoft Connect() conference today, Microsoft announced that it is open sourcing key Windows development technologies including WPF, Windows Forms, and WinUI. Anyone can now contribute to these three Windows UX frameworks on GitHub.

“Open sourcing these technologies provides transparency between the product team and the community, helps democratize Windows development, and enables the community to engage and contribute to these repos,” said Kevin Gallo, Corporate Vice President, Windows Developer Platform.
