It looks like Microsoft might be planning to add a new variant to Windows 10. Commonly known as SKU, the new variant will focus on multiple remote sessions and will be beneficial for the Enterprise customers.

The new SKU was first discovered by Tero Alhonen who was installing Build 17713 from ISO. Alhonen shared the details on Twitter and he also installed a new variant listed as Windows 10 Enterprise for Remote Sessions. Microsoft hasn’t commented on the new variant at the moment. However, it’s safe to say that the company might be working on a new variant for Redstone 5 release. Alhonen said he was able to get ten remote sessions running using the new SKU.

Earlier this year, Microsoft said that the company was looking into the possibility of allowing multiple remote sessions. It looks like the company has finally found a way to make it work. Mary Jo Foley’s sources told her that the Windows 10 Multi Session capability is expected to work with both Win32 and Universal Windows Platform apps and work with Microsoft’s Edge browser.

Microsoft is expected to talk more about the new variant once Redstone 5 starts to roll out in October. For now, we will just have to wait for the company’s comment on the matter.
