It’s that time of the month. Microsoft is now rolling out the Xbox February 2024 update for the green console users, and it’s packed with a few interesting features here and there.
The Xbox remote play feature, which shouldn’t be confused with the Xbox Cloud Gaming, now enables touch controls by default. So if you want to play but don’t have an Xbox controller in hand, you can use the touch controls, which you can use on the Xbox app on iOS, Android, and Windows devices.
Xbox also unveils a new self-calibration tool within the Xbox Accessories app, allowing users to address minor thumbstick issues on their Xbox Wireless Controllers without requiring support calls, repairs, or returns.
This tool is particularly useful for those who have self-repaired their controllers by replacing the base or circuit board, as this process can affect calibration. But, it still won’t solve issues like drift caused by wear and tear.
There’s also an optional “automatic profile sign-out” feature, catering to settings like game cafes, children’s hospitals, and other shared console environments. This feature automatically deletes the player’s profile upon sign-out.
Check out the Xbox February 2024 update by simply pressing the Xbox button, then select your profile icon, navigate to Settings > System > Updates & downloads, and hit Update console.
