WPC reports that many users are now able to download apps that are more than 100 MB is size over their 3G connection.

The limit was previously 50 MB, with everything over this needing to be downloaded over WIFI.

With LTE arriving in many locations, and public WIFI being scarce in many regions, the rule will hopefully open up more applications to more users on more occasions.

What would however be even more useful is if Microsoft could improve the download limit for background downloads from 20 MB to something more reasonable, as this limit often causes me issues with downloading podcasts over my unlimited 3G connection.
