Microsoft, Google, Fidelity, and Baidu invested $110 million in CloudFlare – the networking and cyber security startup. According to Fortune, Matthew Prince, the CEO of CloudFlare stated that the company didn’t need the funding, but they wanted to be associated with big companies such as Microsoft and Google as it prepares for an IPO around 2017.

It’s also worth noting that the latest round of funding was closed back in December 2014. According to Fortune, CloudFlare took its time to announce the funding round after the company recently finalized a joint venture with Baidu.
