Microsoft France Confirms Windows 9, Release Expected In The Next Few Days

Few weeks back, screenshots and videos of the new features in the upcoming Windows 9 build 9832 got leaked on the web. Based on previous reports, Microsoft was expected to release Windows 9 Technical Preview to the public on September 30th. Earlier this week, it was reported that Microsoft will be showing of Windows Technical Preview at its press event on Sep 30th, but the preview will be released only in the month of October.

Today, Alain Crozier, the President of Microsoft France confirmed ‘Windows 9’ for the first time in the public. In addition to revealing Windows 9 branding, he also mentioned that Microsoft will be releasing Windows 9 in the next few days.

As expected, Microsoft didn’t want to confirm anything before their Sep 30th event in San Francisco, so they provided the following statement regarding Alain’s comments,

“We look forward to seeing you in late September, in San Francisco, for the future of Windows, which actually at this stage does not have a name as such.”
