Microsoft explains why you need to choose Microsoft Teams over Zoom

Skype for Business (Lync) and Cisco WebEx were dominating the enterprise conference market for years. In 2011, Zoom entered the market with software-based conference room solution and now it has become one of the leading players in the space. In fact, Microsoft recently published a document explaining why Skype for Business customers should migrate to Microsoft Teams instead of Zoom. Microsoft Teams is a a chat-based workspace that enables teams to be more productive by giving them a single and secure location that brings together everything a team needs: chats, meetings, calls, files, and tools. Microsoft mentioned the following as the reasons for choosing Teams over Zoom:

  • It’s more than just meetings
  • Intelligent communications
  • Accelerating product roadmap
  • Keep it simple
