There were also reports in the past that Microsoft is planning to announce the new gift cards system similar to Apple’s iTunes Gift cards. These Windows Gift Cards allows Windows 8/Windows Phone/Xbox owners to buy music, videos, apps, games, etc,. These gift cards can be purchased in various retail stores soon.
In Windows Phone payment system, Microsoft has already enabled the new Gift Card system which allows you to redeem your card on your Windows Phone Wallet app.
