We have written previously on which flags to enable to allow the new Chromium-based Edge browser to follow your Windows 10 Light and Dark theme.

The good news today is that in the latest Canary build that hack is no longer required. With Microsoft Edge Canary 76.0.160.0 the browser will now automatically match your Light and Dark theme as selected in the Personalization section of Windows 10.

The update also brings a few more changes.

Spell check is now enabled automatically in the language of your OS. PWA’s can now be installed from an indicator in the address bar and lastly enabling Adobe Flash for a website will generate a warning that Flash is ending in December 2020.
