Tropical storm Harvey is still wreaking havoc in Texas, has displaced hundreds of thousands of people, killed at least 8 people and is estimated to have caused between $10 and $20 billion in damages.

First responders have been crucial in caring for those fleeing from their homes, including specialists such as the Red Cross. To assist them in their work Microsoft has donated $100,000 to the organization, with Jane Meseck, Senior Director Global Programs at Microsoft tweeting:

Microsoft donates millions in resources to charities each year and matches donations from employees. In 2016 Microsoft employees donating $142 million to nearly 19,000 charities.

Those who want to follow Microsoft’s example can donate to the Red Cross here.
