Microsoft promised last October that a Pandora app for Windows Phone 8 was on the way, and Joe Belfiore has been teasing some great apps since the beginning of the week.

Microsoft has now delivered on both counts, with the Verge reporting the app in now in the Windows Phone 8 Store.

The Windows Phone 8 version of the app offers ad-free streaming till the end of the year, a saving of $36 over other platforms who have to pay $3.99 per month for the same privilege.  The 40 hours per month free streaming cap limit also does not apply to Windows Phone users.

Favourite stations can be pinned to the start screen, and the Pandora tile shows the latest playing track.  It also supports Kids Corner, meaning the app will not play explicit music when in that mode.

The app can be found in the Windows Phone Store here. It remains of course a US-only service.

Now roll on Instagram…
