Microsoft has announced that developers can now integrate WhatsApp Business Platform into their applications with Azure Communication Services Advanced Messaging.

Now available for public preview, the Advanced Messaging SDK from Azure Communication Services can integrate WhatsApp with other communication channels such as SMS, email, chat, voice, and video, or even with the new Job Router capability to handle incoming customer messages.

“As one of the most popular messaging apps, businesses can now communicate with WhatsApp users who request to hear from them directly from their Azure applications,” says Microsoft in the official announcement.

The best part of it is that you can use your Azure apps to send and receive WhatsAoo messages without having to leave your Azure environment. This makes it easy for businesses to provide customer support, send notifications, and engage with their customers on WhatsApp.

Advanced Messaging also allows developers to create applications that can conversationally interact with customers. This can be used for a variety of purposes, such as providing customer support, sending notifications, and following up with customers.
