Microsoft’s Gabriel Aul today tweeted that the company could be releasing Windows 10 Mobile Build 10572 to Insiders sometime soon. Gabe states that Build 10572 still has that bug which requires Insiders to go back to Windows Phone 8.1 to be able to upgrade to the latest build of Windows 10 Mobile. However, the company has fixed this issue in Build 10575 which will take a little while to come to Insiders.
Hey #WindowsInsiders, I have a poll for you this morning. We have fixed the Mobile build to build upgrade bug that required the reflash to 8.1 so you could install 10549. It’s fixed in build 10575 and newer. BUT, it will take a few more days to go all the way through our rings. But we have a pretty excellent build in-hand (new features, lots of fixes, improved battery, etc.) It is build 10572. So it doesn’t have the build to build upgrade bug fixed in it. Here’s the question: Should we release it as a Fast ring flight? You’d have to go back to 8.1 again to take it, but you could also choose to just sit it out and wait a few days for 10575.
Now, Microsoft wants to know if you want Build 10572 or wait for Build 10575. Head over to this link to vote, and make sure to let Gabe know on Twitter here!
Update: Build 10572 will roll out soon:
#WindowsInsiders have spoken 🙂 Preparing to release 10572. It will take about 3.5hrs for publishing prep. Will tweet again as we get close.
