Microsoft Cloud Revenue Up 14% On Strong Azure Growth

Microsoft’s Cloud business revenue saw a 8% increase in Q1 of FY16, in fact 14% on constant currency. Microsoft cited that premium server products and Azure were responsible for this strong performance. Gross margin was also up 15% on constant currency. Azure revenue was up 135% and usage more than doubled compared to last year. Windows Server, SQL Server and System Center server each saw double digit growths.
