On Twitter Microsoft’s Todd Brix, Senior Director, Windows Phone Apps Team, has announced that Windows Phone app downloads and developer revenue has more than doubled since the advent of Windows Phone 8 in November.

It is not clear if he is comparing it to October 2012 or to November 2011, but either way it is good news for developers who stuck with the operating system, and will hopefully drawn more high quality developers to the platform.
