Accoridng to comScore qSearch analysis of the U.S. desktop search marketplace, Microsoft Sites has 21.9% of the US search market share, up 0.1% from June. As expected, Google Sites led the search market with 63.4 percent market share (down 0.4 percentage points). Yahoo Sites were ranked No.3 with 12.1 percent. Ask Network accounted for 1.5 percent of explicit core searches, followed by AOL, Inc. with 1.1 percent. 15.2 billion explicit core searches were conducted, with Google Sites ranking first with 9.6 billion followed by Microsoft Sites with 3.3 billion searches. Overall, desktop search volume numbers were down 5% compared to the month of June.
